New Year Resolutions: Helpful Nutrition Tips



It is that time of the year you invest money and time on nutrition and fitness goals. Yes, New year's Resolutions! A lot of money goes into buying slimming teas, fads, coaching and quick-fix which may guarantee impressive weight loss, muscle bulk, big hips and what have you😅. Be mindful that you may gain or fail? 

Becoming a better version of yourself starts with you taking realistic, achievable and sustainable steps. Your nutrition isn't left out! Most often we overindulge in too many things and crave for good nutrition when things go wrong. Just a few weeks after the jolly season, you're already watching weight, counting macros and damaging your inner psychology. By the next season, you start all over again.

Tips to help you start on the right note; 
1. Get rid of wrong thinking
You need to eat right, ask a dietitian. If you need medical attention, visit a doctor. You're mentally disturbed, see a psychologist. You need to visit a physiotherapist, counsellor, expert do so. Take the right steps, stop worrying.

2. Create healthy relationship with food
You and I need food to survive. Enjoy nourishing meals. Food is fun.. be mindful of what you eat. 

3. Shape your behaviour and priorities
Yes, when you need to hit the gym, do so. If you can't have access the gym, find a better option; take the stairs, skip, walk to work, run, dance and so on. Shape your behaviours;

1. Do you drink sufficient water everyday?
2. Are you having a balanced diet (proteins, good fat season and carb)?
3. Are you consuming vegetables and fruits daily?
4. Do you binge on alcohol?
5. How often do you eat fast food or eat out?
6. Do you always eat low yield foods (calorie packed, devoid of nutrition)
7. Are you getting enough fibre from your diets?
Whatever your answer maybe, by getting it right you're on your way to healthy living and good nutrition. Avoid Quick-Fix! Slow and steady.., live better.
